Alumni Relations Reading List

It’s the unofficial start of summer, and the perfect time to present our suggestions for some good vacation reading. With so many great books out there, it wasn’t easy getting this list down to 20. Trust us, for every book listed we can think of five we’d like to add. Alas, choices must be made and these are ours.

We’ve divided the list into three simple categories: fiction, non-fiction, and inspirational. The first two are traditionally understood. “Inspirational” means a topic or writer that we hope will inspire you. As you will see, that isn’t limited to spiritual inspiration.

Finally, we’d like you to know that this list is not an endorsement of the writers’ politics, lifestyles, theology, or philosophies. These have been selected on the authors’ ability to present an interesting subject in an intelligent, artful, thoughtful, and entertaining way. With those criteria in mind, we think you won’t be disappointed.

Happy reading!
